To import charts into the MMI2 database, use the File - Import command from the main menu.
The Import Dialog will appear, allowing you to set the import options.
Hovering with the cursor over each option will display a tooltip balloon with a detailed explanation of the process.

The Import options are:
* Import Charts from an MMI Document created with MMI2
Select this option when you import charts from an MMI document created by exporting files from MMI2.
* Import a chart from a Rave Document created with earlier versions of MMI.
Previous versions of MMI used the .Rave file format to store each chart in a stand-alone file. Select this option to import a chart from such a file.
Please note that you can only import Rave Charts from this older format. Composite charts cannot be imported this way.
* Scan folders to import all of the charts they contain.
This option was built to allow users of previous MMI versions who upgrade to MMI2 and wish to import all of their .Rave files into MMI2 at once.
This option will recreate your folder structure inside the MMI2 Chart Library.
Please note that you can only import Rave Charts from this older format. Composite charts cannot be imported this way.
Once you have made your selection, click the Select Files button to continue.
An Open dialog will appear, prompting you to specify the location of the file you wish to import from.
If you selected the 'scan folders' option, you need to specify the folder you wish to import from. Note that when specifying a folder, all of its child folders will also be scanned.
After clicking the Open button, the Import Progress dialog will inform you of the import process's progress.
